We can go back as far as needed โ one year, three years, or further. The further back we go, the more we'll need in terms of source documents and bank statements, but it's always possible to reconstruct records if the underlying data exists.
Bank statements and credit card statements are usually the primary source for reconstruction, and these are almost always available from your bank. Missing receipts are common โ we'll work with what you have and flag any gaps that need attention.
It depends on how far behind you are and how complex your transactions are. After our initial call, we'll give you a realistic timeline alongside your quote. Most cleanups for small businesses are completed within 1โ4 weeks.
Not necessarily. If you don't have a cloud accounting platform set up, we can handle that as part of the engagement. We work with QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, Sage, and others โ and we'll recommend the right fit for your business size and needs.
You'll receive clean, organized books and a summary of what was completed. Many clients then move into ongoing monthly bookkeeping with us โ but there's no obligation. You're welcome to take the cleaned books to your existing accountant or bookkeeper.
